Ohio CycleWorks Charities is working to raise $100,000 in support of our 2012 Race Across America efforts. We knew immediately that we wanted to support health and fitness for kids in the Northeast Ohio community, so choosing Akron Children’s Hospital as our designated charity was a natural fit.
Through a partnership with the Children’s Miracle Network at Akron Children’s Hospital, we’re striving to raise $75,000 to benefit the children served by the hospital. Upon completion of the race, we would like to not only present Akron Children’s with a gift of money, but also a donation of bicycles to be given to children we serve.
Area man teams up to cycle across the country
This summer, some of us will find a hammock and take it easy.
Others, like 30-year-old Shawn Aker, a Columbiana High and YSU graduate, is part of a cycling team that will compete in the Race Across America.
